Submit your paper
There is no charge to submit, or publish papers in the Digital Culture and Education journal, which is a non-commercial, open access academic journal.
We invite papers, but are also keen to hear about ideas beyond traditional articles, including (but in no way limited to) podcasts, videos, webinars, artwork, webcomics, eBooks, eZines, and other forms of public scholarship.
To discuss an idea or submit your work email the editorial team
Accepted papers will be submitted for double blind peer review. We aim to return comments to authors within 8 weeks and to get approved papers to publication with 24 weeks of submission, subject to reviewer availability and promptness of response.
Instructions for authors
Please ensure papers are between 6000 and 8000 words, with a 200 word abstract. We require two a blind version of your paper with all identifiers removed, in addition to your full paper.
We ask that authors recommend three reviewers for any submission. Suggested reviewers must not be colleagues/co-workers or have any other conflict of interest with the authors to allow us to uphold the double blind peer review process.
We ask that all papers are presented single spaced, ideally in Garamond (font size 12), using Harvard Referencing. For examples please refer to our previous papers, available here and download a template for Word, available here. We are happy to include any tables, graphs, images, videos, audio, or other attachments as needed. Please contact us via email should you have any questions or requests.
This journal is able to host additional materials online (e.g. datasets, podcasts, videos, images etc) alongside the full-text of the article. Again, please email us to request and discuss this.
Special editions
We accept pitches for special editions. Should you wish to submit a proposal for a special edition, please send a 200-word abstract to the editorial team: editor@DigitalCultureandEducation.com
